If this is your first time visiting, you will need to create a log in to apply for housing and to view and bid for homes.

 Already have an EdIndex application?
If you already have a live EdIndex application please use the register button for existing EdIndex applicants. You will need to know your EdIndex number to create your login. If you do not know your EdIndex number please email your full name, date of birth and address to EdIndex@edinburgh.gov.uk and we will e-mail your number to you. You should use this option if you have applied for EdIndex by paper application form.

New applicant without an EdIndex application?
If you are applying for housing for the first time or do not have a current EdIndex application and wish to apply online please use the register button for new applicants. Please do not use this option if you are already registered to bid or if you wish to update your application. Updates to your application still need to be made using a paper application form.

Trouble Registering?
If you have any problems setting up your log-in for the site please read the Step by Step guidance for Existing Applicants or New Applicants . You can also check out our Frequently Asked Questions.

Trouble Bidding?
New homes will go live at 4am every Sunday morning and you have until 3.30am the following Sunday to place your bids. You can place your bids at any time throughout the week. Bidding as soon as the homes are advertised does not give you a better chance of being successful. If you have problems bidding please read the Step by Step guidance on How to Bid

Prefer to view the website in a different language?
Prefer to view the website in a different language? You can click the orange button on the top right of this page to activate Reachdeck.
